Over a period of three weeks in Oct/Nov of 2015 I was privileged enough to work on a Film project titled “Dead Along The Way” .
This was a work of Love rather than a work of Labour for a group of very gifted actors and film crew . People who believed in the dream of an inspirational writer/director Maurice O’Carroll.
Perhaps a little bit of history here: Some years ago I was contacted by videographer Maurice O’Carroll -who was an avid writer of short film scripts . A friendship was formed that has taken us on a journey where we have made new friends while working on three short films . Maurice’s wife Elaine ( a dynamo if ever there was one) was an essential element of a team that was formed over a short period. On the first day of our first shoot we met Sinead O’Riordan . Sinead was playing a lead roll in “Coming Out” and has proven to be a great addition to our embryonic team- not only as an actor but also as a producer.
Now, with “Dead Along The Way” we have taken a giant step in making a feature film which has been submitted to the Galway Film Fleadh !!!! This is without doubt the most important and prestigious Film Festival in Ireland . The announcement of this years Festival Programme is imminent .
ARE WE IN ? All fingers crossed !!!
